Our Production Department plans the Process Our production department coordinates the planning process together with the customer. The first step is to determine the kind of tree, the form and the size. With the assistance of structural engineers and metal workers and in close cooperation with the yard we then plan the under construction for tall, free-standing trees and their anchoring to walls and balustrades. Our trees often serve as cover decoration for shipbuilding pillars, if desired.
Die Produktion plant Wir stimmen mit dem Kunden die gewünschte Art des Baumes, die Form und die Größe ab. Mit Hilfe von Statikern und Metallbauern und in enger Abstimmung mit der Werft planen wir für große, frei stehende Bäume die entsprechende Unterkonstruktion und gegebenenfalls die Sicherung an Wänden oder Balustraden. Oft werden die Bäume aber auch als Ummantelung von schiffbaulichen Stützen eingesetzt.
From the Basic Sketch to the Completed Tree After determining the surface and the kind of construction of the trees we look at the branches. Smaller natural wooden branches which are treated with fire-retardant (FR) liquid for safety are later added to the main branches. The trunks, the branches and the leaves are manufactured and treated especially for the use on ships and comply with IMO certification. For land projects this is according to Norm DIN 4102-1. The variety of our trees reaches from plain and simple trees to opulent full blossoming or fruit bearing trees. On request, we once even built a tree that changed its phenotype according to the seasons.
Von der Grundform zum fertigen Baum Wenn Oberflächen und Konstruktion klar sind, widmen wir uns den Ästen. Diese sind meist aus FR-behandeltem Echtholz. Die entsprechenden Blätter werden – ebenso wie Stämme – für Schiffe so produziert oder behandelt, dass sie den entsprechenden IMO-Zertifizierungen entsprechen und für Landprojekte der DIN Norm 4102-1. Natürlich passen sie zum entsprechenden Baum. Wir haben auch schon blühende oder Früchte tragende Bäume gebaut. Einmal sogar einen Baum, der sein Erscheinungsbild jahreszeitlich anpasst.
